The Token Meter (“we,” “us,” “our”) is operated by DrewIs Intelligence LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect when you visit thetokenmeter.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We have written this document in plain language on purpose.

Data we do not collect

The calculators, comparators, and cost estimators on this site run entirely in your browser. The text you paste into the token counter, the workloads you configure in the Cost Showdown, and the numbers you see in results are never transmitted to our servers or to any third party. There is no server-side processing of your inputs because there is no backend application involved in the calculation.

Data we do collect

Anonymous usage analytics

We use a lightweight, privacy-respecting analytics tool to count pageviews, referrer domains, and approximate country (derived from IP address and discarded immediately). We do not set tracking cookies for analytics. We do not build user profiles and we do not sell analytics data.

Advertising cookies (Google AdSense)

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time by visiting Google Ads Settings, or by visiting www.aboutads.info to opt out of third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising.

Local browser storage

We store a small value in your browser’s localStorage to remember that you have seen our privacy notice, so we do not have to show it again on every page load. This value does not identify you and is never transmitted.

Affiliate disclosure

Some outbound links on this site — for example, links to AI model providers, aggregators, and related tools — may be affiliate links. If you sign up for a paid service after clicking one, we may receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships never influence which models we feature or how we report their pricing. Our pricing data is sourced from each provider’s public documentation and kept up to date independently.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR (European Economic Area, United Kingdom) or CCPA/CPRA (California), including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. We hold very little personal data by design — typically none that identifies an individual visitor. To exercise any such right, email us at the address below.

Children’s privacy

The Token Meter is a utility for builders, buyers, and operators of AI systems. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be announced in our Field Notes section.
